In September 2001 I started keeping a sketchbook again. I carry it with me always. More often than not I draw people, not things. Usually people on the tube, or on the bus, or sitting at the bar... I try to be discreet and remain unobserved myself. There's real tension in not knowing when your subject is going to move, get up, leave the train... So I have to work fast! It's fun.
